Aquatics Department

Lifeguard{5-P/T Seasonal}

$ 8.50 / hr

General Function:  The Lifeguard is under the general supervision of the Aquatic Director and responsible for providing a safe environment at al times both in water and on deck.

Qualifications:  Must be at least16 years old.  This position is required to have certifications in the following fields: First Aid, Cpr for the Professional Rescuer, A.E.D, Bloodborne Pathogens, Ymca Lifeguarding or A.R.C. Lifeguarding Certificate.

Swim Instructor {5-P/T Seasonal}

$ 7.50 / hr

General Function:  The Swim Instructor is under the general supervision of the Aquatic Director and responsible for teaching quality lessons to children and adults.  Maintaining a safe environment for participants involved in Swim Lessons.

Qualifications:  Must be at least16 years old.  This position is required to have certifications in the following fields: First Aid, Cpr for the Professional Rescuer, A.E.D., Bloodborne Pathogens.

Water Aerobic Instructor {2-P/T}

$10 - $13.00 / hr

General Function:  The Swim Instructor is under the general supervision of the Aquatic Director and responsible for teaching quality Aerobic classes to adults.  Maintaining a safe environment for participants involved in Water Aerobic sessions.

Qualifications:  Must be at least16 years old.  This position is required to have certifications in the following fields: First Aid, Cpr for the Professional Rescuer, A.E.D., Bloodborne Pathogens.

FITNESS DEPARTMENT

Senior Fitness Instructor{2-P/T}

$10.00 - $15.00 / Hr

General Function:  The Fitness Instructor is under the general supervision of the Sports Director and responsible for teaching quality Fitness classes to adults.  Maintaining a safe environment for participants involved in Fitness classes.

Qualifications:  Must be at least16 years old.  This position is required to have certifications in the following fields: First Aid, Cpr for the Professional Rescuer, A.E.D., Bloodborne Pathogens

Head Cook

( $400.00 - 480.00 weekly)

Dates of employment:    May 1 - September 1, 2007--(minimum age:25)

Position requires 2 years experience in institutional or professional cooking school. Staff supervision, menu planning , food ordering, and inventory. Head cook is responsible for total kitchen management and supervision of food service program. San Bernardino County Food Handlers certification required. Position F/T P/T Weekend available F/T P/T year-round.

Assistant Cook

($300.00 - 400.00 weekly)

Dates of employment : May 18 - September 1, 2007--(minimum age:21)

Position requires one year of experience working in food service, preferably institutional or camp. Able to operate and supervise kitchen and staff on absence of Head Cook. San Bernardino County Food Handlers Certificate required.

Third Cook

($300.00 weekly)

Dates of employment: May 18 - September 1, 2007--(minimum--18)

Experience working in camp or institutional kitchen preferred, but not required. The third cook must have the ability to learn quickly. San Bernardino County Food Handlers certificate required

Lodge Host/Hostess

($300.00 weekly)

Dates of employment: May 25 - September 1, 2007--(minimum age:18)

Responsible for supervision of the dining room during meal periods including set up and clean up. Responsible for cleanliness of entire dining hall and staff restrooms and related equipment and supplies, and evening hours required. San Bernardino County Food Handlers certificate required.

Camp Crew

($300 weekly)

Dates of employment: May 25 - September 1, 2007--(minimum age:18)

Responsible for daily duties including: Dishwashing, cleaning restrooms, picking up trash, and general camp chores. No experience required. The ability to learn quickly. San Bernardino County Food Handlers certificate required.

Program Director

($380.00 - $400.00 weekly)

Dates of employment: May 1 - September 1, 2007--(minimum age:21)

Person must have experience leading summer camp programs. Responsible for supervising program staff and all program areas. Must have ability to teach/lead all program areas and small/large groups. Assist director in staff training. CPR, First Aid, wilderness first aid, low ropes challenge course, rock climbing, and life-saving certification required. Outdoor Education, Wildernese, & First Aid are a plus.

Creative Crafts Specialist

($300.00 weekly)

Dates of employment: May 25 - September 1, 2007--(minimum age:18)

Must have experience working with children and adults in small and large groups. This person must be able to plan, organize and teach a variety of crafts. Responsible for inventory and ordering of supplies. American Red Cross First Aid/CPR required.

Wilderness Adventure Specialist

($300.00 weekly)

Dates of employment: May 25 - September 1, 2007--(minimum age:21)

Must have experience working with children in an outdoor environment. Be Familiar with outdoor activities including: overnight camping, hiking, cooking, biking, nature, wildernese, and group building activities. American Red Cross First Aid/CRP required.

Ropes Challenge Course Specialist

($300.00 weekly)

Dates of employment: May 25 - September 1, 2007--(minimum age:18)

Must have experience working with children in group building activities. Be familiar with outdoor activities including including: Rock climbing, Trust falls, the X, the spider, the wild woozy, and other obstacles that enhance self-reliance as well as Team building. Previous work with rope courses preferred. American Red Cross First Aid/CPR, rock climbing, and low ropes certificate required.

Archery/Riflery Specialist

($300.00 weekly)

Dates of employment: May 25 - September 1, 2007--(minimum age:18)

Must have experience working with children, be mature, be able to organize and be safety conscious.  American Red Cross/CPR required.  Target Shooting certificates required.

 

Lifeguard

($325.00 - $340.00 weekly)

Dates of employment: May 25 - September 1, 2007--(minimum age:18)

Responsible for guarding children/adults at pool and lake. Must have the ability to teach canoeing. Pool maintenance including upkeep of pool area and shower/bath house. American Red Cross and CPR for the professional rescuer, and YMCA or ARC life guarding required.

Aquatics Director

($340.00 - $360.00 weekly)

Dates of employment: May 25 - September 1, 2007--(minimum age:21)

Assume position as Head Lifeguard. Be responsible for supervision of lifeguards. Maintain proper function of swimming pool operation including proper chemical balances, water testing or cleanliness of pool area and shower house and proper pool supervision for camper safety. YMCA or ARC Lifeguard cert's. required. Must have the ability to teach canoeing.ARC Red Cross and CPR for the Professional Rescuer also required.
