RESIDENT CAMPING PROGRAMS

Camp Ta Ta Pochon is located in the San Bernadino National, just 15 miles "up the hill" from Redlands, California -- about 90 minutes from Alhambra and surrounding communities.

Camp serves youth groups affiliated with the West San Gabriel Valley YMCA and also available to youth, church, school groups, family reunions, and retreats. Camp also lend's itself as a great location for business retreats and team building activities.

Camp Ta Ta Pochon offers great food at an affordable price in a spacious dining hall, a beautiful mountain setting with a creek running thru the 13+ acres, many recreational and outdoor activities (depending on the time of year), hiking, bike trials, access to beautiful Jenks Lake, and rustic cabins that sleep from 10 - 12 persons.

Memorial Day Family Camp

Teen Wilderness Adventure Camp, Age 13-16

( Beginners Backpacking Program )

August 18 - August 25, 2007 (Sat.to Sat.)

Cost: $285

Includes food & transportation

Our adventure begins at camp as we learn group decision making skills

at our low-ropes course.  Teens will be taught how to use and maintain basic equipment, orienteering, cooking in the out-of-doors, and basic safety tips.  We'll spend 2.5 dsys exploring the San Gorgonio Wilderness learning basic backpacking skills including : low-impact camping, and trail navigation. All teens will carry their own equipment; and will share community tasks like cooking and cleaning. Swimming, hiking, canoeing, archery, air-rifles (BB guns), climbing wall, ropes course, art & crafts, sports games, dance, & campfire. Trip will be lead by staff trained in outdoor skills and wilderness first-aid.

YMCA CAMP TA TA POCHON

NON - SUMMER FEE SCHEDULE

WEEKDAYS AND WEEKENDS

Fee Includes: Food, cooking, dishwasher, maintenance/janitorial staff, heated lodging, coffee & tea always available to adults, and one evening snack (additional snacks can be arranged for $1.50 per person). Twelve beds and mattresses are provided in each cabin. No Bedding is Provided. Program instructors for various program areas that might be open (depending upon the weather) can be provided at $50.00 per staff person provided, per day.

 

Deposit:30% deposit of total contract amount is required to hold your session dates upon signing of the contract. The deposit is 50% refundable upon cancellation of the lease period by the lease group up to 90 days prior to the lease period. Within 90 days of the period, the deposit is non-refundable.

Exclusive Use: Exclusive use of the camp can only be guaranteed to groups with a minimum guarantee of 70 or more paid participants.

Group Staff/Supervisory Staff: One adult leader per 10 Campers will be allowed at no charge. Additional leaders pay half the camper rate. One program Director will also be allowed at no charge.

FULL DAY CHARGE: arrive before noon or depart after noon

HALF DAY CHARGE: arrive after noon or depart before noon

Minimum Guarantee: 70 PAID campers

Maximum Capacity: 120 total campers and staff. Any additional must be approved by our Camp Director.

Free Staff: One Adult leader per 10 paid campers will be allowed at no charge. Additional leaders pay camper rate. One Program Director will also be allowed no charge.

Fee Includes: Food, cooking, and dishwashing staff, lodge host, maintenance/janitorial staff, 1 lifeguard, Arts & Crafts leader plus materials, Low ropes course/ climbing tower leader, Archery/Air Rifle leader, and sports equipment. Group picture, and bus transportation, and mt. bike rental can be provided upon request and the lease group will be billed for actual cost billed to Ta Ta Pochon for those services.

Deposit: 30% required to hold Camp dates upon signing of the contract. Deposit Applied to the total fees only if camp is left in the same condition as Found.

Refunds: All deposits are 50% refundable up to 90 days prior to contracted lease period. Deposits are then non-refundable within 90 days prior to contracted lease period unless the YMCA cancels your lease period.

Payment: Balance of payment (contract total minus deposit) payable on the first day of the lease period - first day of Camp.
