AEROBIC CLASSES
Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced Level Classes. All of our
YMCA aerobic classes include warm-up and stretching exercises, followed
by a 20 - 45 minute aerobic workout guaranteed to get your heart
pumping! The class shifts beat for strength and conditioning exercises
for specific muscle groups, and ends with a cool-down stretch. Instructors
are experienced, certified & fun! All aerobic classes are FREE
to Y-Facility Members.
STEP TRAINING
Involves stepping up and down from a platform with music, and was
the fastest growing, efficient, and still the most talked about
exercise to come along in years. Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced
Classes are offered.
CARDIO-COMBO
This class may include Low Impact and/or STEP Training, for an aerobic
workout plus use of resistive devices for strength and conditioning
exercises. Don't miss the FUN with Toy's part of this workout!
"BOX FU CHI" AEROBICS
The cardio segment of this class combines moves adapted from the
martial arts and/or STEP training.
"WATERCIZE"
(Aquatic Program)
Aimed
at the active adult with an emphasis on range of motion, joint mobility,
tone muscles and increase one's endurance level. This is a
fun and supportive class using all benefits of water's therapeutic
qualities.
SENIOR SHAPE-UP FITNESS
Active Older Adults (A.O.A.) Improve the best years of your life
with the Senior Shape-Up Fitness designed for the mature adult that
is on the go. Get in shape while making new friends with this fun
group!
WATER EXERCISE CLASSES
(Aquatic Program)
Our indoor, shallow water, heated pool hosts water exercise classes
year-round. The use of water for resistance and the near-weightlessness
it provides, offers you a stress-free workout that can be as challenging
as you make it. Check the schedule on pages 6 & 11 for Watercise,
Aqua Muscle, and Twinges-In-The-Hinges.
ARTHRITIS
(Aquatic Program)
For
adults is a recreational exercise program designed to accommodate
the abilities of individuals with arthritis and other related diseases
(each person exercises at his/her own pace, program encourages self
can provide social interaction, improve muscular strength, endurance
and flexibility, maintain independence, mange pain and relieve symptoms
of arthritis.
MUSCLE CONDITIONING CLASS
This non-aerobic class uses hand weights and resistive devices to
improve muscle strength and endurance while sculpting your body
into the shape you want. Beginner through Advanced levels welcome.
YOGA
Taught at a Beginner to Intermediate level, yoga focuses on proper
postural alignment, flexibility, strength and relaxation.
